I’m Jess, a teenage girl born and raised in Australia, who’s proud to be a follower of Christ.

I started A Mess of Jess as a lifestyle blog with a focus on beauty and food. A platform to share my love of all things beauty; such as makeup and skincare; and food; such as the occasional recipe or some fun things I’ve baked recently.

I called it A Mess of Jess because I think it’s a phrase that represents me perfectly as I’m quite often, a mess. I’m not perfect, and you’ll quite often find me with messy hair, covered in flour from making a mess in the kitchen, my makeup scattered haphazardly as I try to get ready quickly, or my mind just all over the place. I’m just quite simply, a mess of Jess.

When I’m not obsessing over all the different highlighters I can swatch, or browsing for the 101 shades of ‘dusty rose’ lip products I could purchase, you can find me scrolling through Pinterest looking for what to bake next, feeding my online shopping habits, or watching Korean dramas (or searching on Tumblr for cute photos of them).

I hope that my posts can help you, whether it be a review that helps you find your next holy grail makeup item, opens your eyes to a brand new skincare item you’ve never heard of,  and that you enjoy reading just as much as I enjoy creating.
